Welcome to Woof Society. Before we pamper your pooch, please take a moment to read through our terms of service to ensure a safe and happy grooming experience for everyone.
Terms and Conditions
1. Consumer Guarantees
-
Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. For major failures with the service, you are entitled to cancel your service contract and receive a refund for the unused portion, or compensation for its reduced value. You are also entitled to compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. If a failure is not major, you are entitled to have the issue rectified within a reasonable time.
2. Pet Safety & Veterinary Care
At Woof Society, your pet's safety, comfort and wellbeing are our highest priorities. While every reasonable care is taken, grooming involves the use of sharp equipment and animals may behave unpredictably.
-
We will endeavour to contact you as soon as reasonably possible should an incident occur.
-
If urgent veterinary treatment is required and we are unable to contact you, you authorise Woof Society to seek veterinary care on your behalf.
-
Veterinary expenses incurred will be the responsibility of the owner unless the injury results directly from Woof Society failing to provide services with due care and skill as required by law.
3. Matted Coats & Shave Downs
Severely matted coats can cause discomfort and may increase the risk of skin irritation, clipper rash, cuts, nicks and bruising during grooming.
-
Woof Society reserves the right to perform a shave-down where necessary for the health, safety and welfare of the pet.
-
Additional grooming time required due to matting may incur a surcharge of $50 per 30 minutes.
-
Owners acknowledge that removing severe matting may reveal pre-existing skin conditions, irritations, sores, parasites or injuries that were hidden beneath the coat.
4. Behaviour, Handling & Flea Policy
-
Professional handling equipment, including grooming restraints, E-collars or muzzles, may be used where necessary to ensure the safety of pets and staff.
-
Woof Society reserves the right to refuse, modify or stop a grooming service if a pet becomes excessively stressed, aggressive or unsafe to handle.
-
Dogs requiring significant additional handling, supervision or grooming time due to behaviour may incur a Difficult Dog Fee of $50 per visit.
-
Grooming services are always completed at the discretion of Woof Society and only where it is safe and practical to do so.
Flea Policy
-
Woof Society does not accept pets with known flea infestations.
-
Owners must notify the salon prior to their appointment if their pet has, or is suspected to have, fleas.
-
If fleas are discovered during the grooming appointment, Woof Society reserves the right to immediately stop or refuse the service. In these circumstances, the full service fee remains payable.
5. Senior Pets & Pre-Existing Conditions
-
Owners acknowledge that senior pets, pets with medical conditions, and pets recovering from illness or injury may be more susceptible to stress during grooming.
-
Owners also acknowledge that grooming may reveal pre-existing conditions including, but not limited to, skin irritations, lumps, bumps, hot spots, ear infections, parasites, sores or other underlying health concerns that may not have been visible prior to grooming.
6. Pricing & Payments
All advertised prices are starting prices only.

-
Clients who fail to attend their appointment without notice ("No Show") may incur a no-show fee.
-
If a client arrives more than 15 minutes late, Woof Society reserves the right to shorten, reschedule or cancel the appointment.

Woof Society reserves the right to require a deposit or full prepayment for future bookings following repeated late cancellations or no-shows.

-
You have disclosed any relevant medical, behavioural or health conditions that may affect grooming.
Woof Society reserves the right to refuse service if we reasonably believe a pet may pose a health or safety risk.
10. Owner Responsibilities
-
Owners are responsible for providing accurate and complete information regarding their pet's health, behaviour, grooming history, desexing status, and suitability to interact with other dogs.
-
If a dog needs to wait before or after grooming, it may be placed in a supervised play or holding area with other suitable dogs. Owners must advise Woof Society if their dog is not comfortable interacting with other dogs.
-
Woof Society reserves the right to separate or isolate any dog at any time if we reasonably believe it is necessary to ensure the safety and wellbeing of any dog, client or staff member.
-
Owners remain responsible for any injury, loss or damage caused by their pet to staff, other animals or property arising from aggressive, dangerous or undisclosed behaviour, or from inaccurate or incomplete information provided at the time of booking or check-in.
11. Photography Consent
-
Unless otherwise requested, you grant Woof Society permission to photograph or video your pet before, during or after grooming for marketing, social media and promotional purposes.
-
If you do not wish your pet to be photographed, please notify us before your appointment.
12. Appointment Reminders
-
Appointment reminders sent via SMS, email or phone are provided as a courtesy only.
-
Failure to receive a reminder does not remove the owner's responsibility to attend the scheduled appointment or comply with cancellation policies.
13. Acceptance of Terms
-
By making a booking with Woof Society, whether online, by phone, by email or in person, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
-
You confirm that the information provided about your pet is accurate and complete to the best of your knowledge and that you authorise Woof Society to provide grooming services to your pet in accordance with these Terms & Conditions.
14. Privacy
-
Your privacy is important to us. Woof Society collects personal information such as your name, contact details, and pet information purely for booking and communication purposes. We do not sell or share your information with third parties except as required for veterinary care or by law.
15. Changes to These Terms
